The Awards and Recognition Unit in the FBI's
Human Resources Division is currently recruiting
for an HR Specialist to join its Ceremonies
Team. The ideal candidate will be able to
plan and execute formal award ceremonies
with attendance ranging from 400 to 1,200
as well as manage the process to solicit
and review award nominations from a world-wide
staff. Other major responsibilities include
the preparation of executive briefs on nominations,
ceremony logistics, and recipients; the
management and tracking of all travel and
expenses for award recipients and guests;
the negotiation, evaluation, and management
of vendor contracts for ceremony-related
services; and the ordering and tracking
of award devices.
Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience
in event/meeting planning. Candidates must
also demonstrate excellent writing and oral
communication; keen attention to detail;
excellent computer skills, including MS
Excel, Word, and Access; excellent customer
service skills and the ability to maintain
vendor relationships; and the ability to
properly interact with executives at all
levels. Qualified candidates must adhere
to the FBI Core Values and be able to successfully
obtain a Top Secret Clearance. The position
is a GS-9/11, depending on candidate qualifications;
the salary ranges from $51,630 to
$81,204.
